Strawberry Kiwi Slush

Am I the only person in the world that continues to think about Sonic’s Strawberry Kiwi Slush on a regular basis even though it has not existed for over a decade?!?

Well, I finally decided to attempt re-creating my favorite Sonic Slush flavor of yesteryear and the result was amazing!!! This is the perfect summer drink!!

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 kiwi (peeled and sliced)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups ice

Start by peeling and slicing the fruit.

Add the fruit to a blender (reserving a slice of kiwi and strawberry for garnishing) with the sugar, water and lemon juice, then blend for 30 seconds.

Next, add the ice to the blender.

Blend for an additional 30 seconds or until the ice has been crushed and a slush consistency has formed.

Pour into a glass for you and a friend (or an extra-large glass all for yourself!)

Garnish with a strawberry and kiwi slice and enjoy!
